Pepe's Purple Passion

No cleanup... as usual for me...

First off, this sucker was very hard to get on my nails! I NEVER have an issue with getting a polish on perfectly, granted some aren't as perfect as I'd like so I use some clean up. But this was a whole other story. The constancy wasn't goopey, or too thick it was just weird.  The color is so gorgeous though, and totally worth it to me.  Even if I had to completely remove it from 4 fingernails and start over.

I got this as a part of my secret valentine gift on the Polish-Aholic Group on Facebook.  Stephanie got me 3 things to cross off my wishlist! I've wanted this one for since it's come out, because my first dog's name was Pepe.  Plus, I have that weird I need a nail polish just because it reminds me of someone problem.  Does anyone else have that issue? I feel sometimes like it's just me sometimes.

Sassy Penguin

Is this not the cutest? I've been sick for the past couple of days (blah) and I needed a little pick me up.  I love my penguin babies! Even the pinky finger one that has a little bit more of a personality than the rest.  

This was super super super simple to do! I can't believe I've put this mani off for so long.  I used WnW Black Creme, WnW White, China Glaze Whitr Cap to add some sparkle and China Glaze Life Preserver.

Professional 10 Moonlight

I'm FINALLY done with my first semester finals, so now I'm officially a second semester senior! I have the next 4 days off so I plan on getting a lot of nail things done, including swatching the order I made with the zoya promo! I also plan on doing a one week update with nail envy, I wanna document my entire journey with that $16 a bottle nail treatment (especially because I stalked my local target to get it).

Today I used Moonlight by Professional 10.  Love! It's a beautiful nude/gray color.  I HATE the brush on this polish though! Not necessarily the brush, just the wand.  It's super long and I felt like I didn't get the same control I get from other polish's with a shorter one.

As always, I didn't clean up for you guys :/ I should get on to doing that.

Nail Envy

I finally caved in and spent the $16 on Nail Envy, my nails break like crazy and never get to that pretty longish but not too long shape.  So I'm trying out this treatment, everyone raves about it so I hope it works just as well for me!

Essie Shine of the Times

My first flakie ever! Unless you count the one I bought from Meyer's for 2 bucks, but I've never actually worn...I should get on that shouldn't I? I FINALLY found Essie's Shine of the Times along with finally getting my hands on some OPI Nail Envy at my local target.  It's either the nail fairies are good to me and they have everything they need, or they don't. Slightly frustrating, but as long as I eventually get what I want I'm good.   I used Nail Envy as my base,William Tell Me About OPI and Shine of the Time over all of that.  Its. So. Gorgeous.  I never thought I'd love flakies as much as I love this.  My lovely friend Marissa, who sits at my table in my Parenting Class spent a good amount of class time moving my fingers back and forth so she could see the flakies change colors lol! She's such a cutie, always looking at what I've done to my nails.

Tip wear... I know... 

That's why I used a funky french to cover it up so I could have these gorgeous nails for one more day!

Teddy Girl

I don't think cuticles could get any worse! It hasn't been that cold in Chicago at all, but my hands are still just so dry and disgusting.  Oh well, what can I do.  I've been using olive oil for my cuticles, and every single hand cream I could get my dry grubby hands on and still no luck.  Anyways, here's my attempt at tiny nubbin nail art.  I was going to do more polka dots, and then we got a call saying my brother came home and I lost all interest in any more polka dots! I used Butter London's Teddy Girl, and for the dots OPI Big Hair...Big Nails and Ya'll Come Back Ya Hear. 

It's a Heartbreaker

So yeah... I had to cut down my nails again, and my cuticles are horrendous. Aye.

Smok'n in Havana

Happy New Year! I know it's a little late and I never did an official NYE manicure cause I couldn't go out that night. BUT... I used my favorite polish EVER (well one of them)!  Smok'n in Havana, which apparently is HTF but I bought it online for $5 last year, so I'm not exactly sure about that.  Its a gorgeous red with gold shimmers in it.  On me it pulls more of the red rather than a bronzey orange that it pulls on some people I've seen.  My camera had major trouble trying to capture the actual color of this red.

 I got bored so I sponged on some Nicole by OPI Glitter in my Stocking.  Red and Gold sparkles!
