ASBMF: Design of your choice.

First off, I need to let this out.

I'M GRADUATING HIGH SCHOOL.  Today, as in an hour and a half ago, I finished my last. day. of. school. EVER! I can not believe that its all over, I never believed anyone when they said high school would go by so quickly! I remember sitting in bio freshmen year and my teacher, Mr. Bernthal congratulated us on finishing 1 quarter of high school and only had 15 more to go.
Commencement is going to be on June 10th and I can't wait!
I found my graduation dress, which is a HUGE pain since my high school is one of the only public high school in the nation that sticks to a very traditional long white dresses for the girls, and dark suits, and red ties for the boys.  I ended up finding a dress from JC Penney's which is a wedding dress, but it so gorgeous and only cost $75! I have to wear a shrug because it's strapless and that's a huge no-no (no bare shoulder for the huskie's commencement ceremony!)
All done gushing about graduating! On to the polish!

I'm also completely done with the April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge! What??? I actually completed a challenge?? Y'all I'm shocked! LOL! I loved doing this so much! Thanks to Hannah who created it!

For this I wanted stripes! My base is Wet n' Wild Carribean Frost, I forgot all about this polish until my friend gave me her bottle because she didn't like it all that much, then I remembered I fell in love with it the summer before my 8th grade! I can't believe I haven't worn it since! Carribean Frost is a gorgeous frosty emerald- turquoise color. Love. 2 coats and it was perfect, none of those weird streaky lines you can get from some frosts. For my stripes I used China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, and Confetti Margarita Senorita, because green and pale yellow are my favorite for spring!

ASBMF: The Paper Gal....fail

It's Saturday night and here I am because my best friend ditched me and our plans to go get chicken and waffles for her birthday today, instead she went to  Mr. Hookah with some guys. Who does that? Honestly.  So I thought I'd share my latest challenge with you guys!

First off I started with a mani I did the day before using Confetti Lonesome Dove with Spoiled Trust Find Baby willy-nilly on the tips. That's probably we the problem started from, I don't think the glitter helped the newspaper transfer at all!

With the newspaper transfer....
I used Vodka (don't worry I wasn't drinking it!) soaked my nails and the sheet of newspaper held it on for a few seconds and lifted it off. The only somewhat good finger I got was my pinky the rest looked ruddy and disgusting and the words barely showed up at all. I probably just need some more practice.

Have a great Saturday night!

ASBMF: May Flowers

12 DOWN ONLY 2 MORE TO GO! I can't even believe I'm almost done with this challenge! It'll be the first one I've ever completed.

For may flowers I recreated a nail design I did last summer, it turned out  A LOT better this time! But my pictures are crap! So I'm going to post the old picture...don't kill me lol..... I feel like I'm cheating even though I'm really not!

Saved by the Blue and acrylic paint for the daisies

I can't wait to show you guys my fail of a newspaper transfer next!

ASBMF: Chicks and Eggs

11 down 3 more to go! I can't believe I'm almost done with this challenge!

For today's challenge I did a simple french manicure using ChG Lemon Fizz and WnW french creme.  Super simple but I loved how the yellow and white french reminded me of chicks coming out of their eggs!
Lemon Fizz was a pain the butt to apply though, I don't know what got into my bottle, but there were little black hairy type things coming off the brush every time! I guess I just need a new bottle.  It was super streaky and I needed 3 coats for it to become perfect.  I'm in LOVE with pale yellows now...does anyone know of any other good ones to get?

Have a great weekend!

ASBMF: Butterflies

10 down only 4 more to go on this challenge! Today's challenge was butterflies and I thought I'd try out the cheapy stamping set I bought at Sally's a while ago. For my first time ever stamping I didn't think I did all that badly! Would have been better if the other half on the left wings transferred on to the nail but I figured I 'd take what I could get.  My base color is Color Club Hydrangea Kiss.  It's a beautiful periwinkle blue. Perfect for spring. It applied perfectly in two coats.

ASBMF: Fresh Cut Lawns

Happy Cinco De Mayo! I didn't do any special manicure this time like I did last year....

Because this is what happened. Did I cheat making the flag? You betcha.  Did my ring finger match Zoya Caitlin? Nope.  Did I love this? YES, yes I did. I need to do this again sometime actually! It was so simple! All I did was print out teeny tiny Mexican flags and cut out the little middle part. Impressed quite a few people with my "painting" skills. lol!

 Back to my ASMBF challenge-

I almost feel like I cheated on this one, because when I think of my lawn when its freshly cut it's always the stain you get on the bottom of your shoe! When everyone else is most likey going to be doing some beautiful nail art design, I stuck with Don't Mess With OPI.

I LOVE this nail polish! It's an absolutely perfect grass green and I never have any problems apply it.  The Texas collection was actually one of the first times I bought an entire collection of because I loved it so much! I even got the salon display with it!

I hope you guys have an amazing weekend!

April Showers Challenge: Matte Magic

I have another challenge for you guys! To be completely honest, I'm a little shocked I've even able to keep up with all of these! I usually get bored within the first 3 challenges, I guess Hannah just did a great job with coming up with them!

This was my matte magic! I'm not sure what to call this...but I love the way it turned out! I originally wanted to do some sort of ruffian manicure, but I wasn't satisfied with that so I just kept adding more layers until I got to the very end. It's not exactly perfect but it gets the job done.

1st layer: Don't Mess With OPI
2nd layer: WnW Caribbean Frost
3rd layer: ChG Trendsetter
4th: ChG Near Dark
5th layer: Don't Mess With OPI

Hopefully I'll have some more posts up soon....the week before prom gets crazy!

April Showers Challenge- Glitter Tips!

I'm not even going to lie to you guys, I had to airbrush the s*** out of my cuticles and they still look that bad. Tonight I shall be attacking them with that good ol Sally Hansen cuticle remover in the blue bottle.

For the challenge today I did glitter tips! LOVE this look. My base color is one that I got from my Spring Surprise gift! Not only is it my first Finger Paints polish, but I've wanted to get a color like this for a while, which is Vintage Velvet, and for my gradient tips I used WnW Diamond in the Rough and Spoiled Jewelry Heist.

April Showers Challenge/ Autism Awareness- Blue Ombre

Hey y'all! I hope everything with you guys has been going great! I have an blue ombre for you today! I actually did my first ombre back in the beginning of April when my best friend came to visit on my toes using black and grays, but I'm in love with my blue one! It's such a striking look but so simple to create. I only had to franken one color for my middle finger with the polish from my ring finger and pointer finger.  I need to do a lot more of these....

Pinky- Hard Candy Sky
Ring Finger- ChG For Audrey
Middle Finger- Franken
Pointer Finger-Sinful Why Not
Thumb(not shown)-ChG First Mate

April Showers Challenge: A rainbow after the rain

Hey y'all! I know I haven't been posting much lately. My cuticle are having a fit now that flag football has started during my PE class and it's super cold outside! I love football (if you can't tell) but my hands aren't having it. :(

Here's my rainbow after the rain!

I used WnW Teal of Fortune on all of my fingers. Then I  used 3 types of flakies for the ring finger, Inglot 203 and 204 and Essie Shine of the Times to get my perfect rainbow effect!

I hope you guys have a great weekend!

April Showers Bring May Flowers Challege- April Showers

Hey y'all! I had my ASVAB test today and I passed! I'm so so so excited! I was so nervous this morning I woke up about 6 to get ready and do my nails to see if that would calm me down. I ended up deciding to do another challenge manicure. I'm not exactly fond of how my ring finger turned out with the raindrop, but for freaking out as much as I did I really like it! I used Zoya Jane as my base for every finger except my ring and thumb, which I used China Glaze Pelican Gray.  Originally I was just going to do a simple manicure using Jane, thinking that at least having polish on my nails would calm me down a bit(it didn't if you were wondering), so I then I went on with sponging on Sea Spray and a Color Club glitter that I can't remember the name of, but was part of the 2011 Holiday Collection....

This is what I came up with! No clean up....

This isn't the worlds best picture, and there really isn't excuse for all the topcoat smeared around my cuticles but I was nervous.

I hope you guys have an amazing weekend!

April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge-Glitter Sammy

Hey darlin! I got another challenge post! 3 days and I'm actually keeping up with it this time!

Today I did the glitter sammy challenge using China Glaze Near Dark, and for my glitter Sinful Green Ocean. I love how this turned out because its a little unconventional using such a dark color but since Near Dark is a jelly it worked out perfectly! I need to remember doing a glitter sandwichs more often.

1 coat of Nail Envy, 1 coat Gelous, 2 coats Near Dark, 2 coats of Green Ocean, 1 coat Near Dark and then to top it off 2 coats of NYC fast dry topcoat.
This was my first time using Green Ocean and its amazing! It has glitter and flakies in it!

April Showers Challenge-Ladybugs!

Howdy! I hope ya'll had a great Easter or Passover this weekend! I have another challenge post! 2 down 12 to go! LOL! I hope I actually make it this time!
My...ahem...interesting looking lady bug. I used China Glaze Hey Sailor! as my base, which is one of my favorite polishes just because of the name.  I'm not sure if many of you guys know, but once I graduate from high school (June 10th!) I'm joining the US Navy! I orginally bought the entire Anchors Away Collection because of my big brother who's also a Sailor, but as things turn out, I'm going to one too!
Anyways! I used Wet n' Wild Black Creme and some cheapy white polish for the eyes.

I can't wait to show you guys glitter sandwich nails next!
